Parama Roy Bardhan is an internationally recognized Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and dance educator based in Atlanta, USA, with over 20 years of experience in classical dance. Beginning her artistic journey at the tender age of four with Kathak and later Bharatanatyam, she has received extensive training under distinguished Gurus and senior professional dancers. Renowned for her graceful movements, exceptional rhythmic precision, expressive Abhinaya, and captivating stage presence, Parama has performed on numerous prestigious national and international stages across India, the United States, and Europe, including the Indian Classical Dance Festival at the historic Dora Stratou Theatre in Athens, Greece. Her artistic excellence has earned her several national and international awards and prestigious titles, including Nritya Kala Ratna, Naatya Kala Samman, Natya Kiranam, Natya Mayuri, and Thillai Nataraja. She was also the winner of the 2023 International Online Dance Competition (IODC), receiving exceptional appreciation from an international panel of professional judges. Her artistic achievements have been featured in prominent publications, including The Statesman, Marietta Journal and Free Space Journal, earning recognition from audiences, critics, and distinguished performing arts professionals worldwide. Parama is a member of the International Dance Council (CID), associated with UNESCO. As the Founder and Artistic Director of Nrityabitan School of Dance in Atlanta, she is deeply committed to preserving India's rich cultural heritage and nurturing the next generation of Bharatanatyam artists. Her vision is to share the timeless beauty of Indian classical dance with audiences worldwide while inspiring and preparing her students to showcase their talents on prestigious international stages.
